Alexander can walk!

Holy cow. Today was the day to let go. Alexander walked without holding onto anything for the first time today. Granny is visiting from Texas and got to see it. A video from tonight is linked below...

Alexander's first bike ride!

Today was our first trailer adventure. We rode about 4 1/2 miles round trip from our house, up to the grocery and then back home again.

Alexander was looking great in his new helmet. As any overly cautious first parent would do, I added a lot of extra padding to the inside of the trailer! Overall I would say he enjoyed the ride (but cruising the grocery store was better). A few seat adjustments will be necessary to make room for the back of his helmet. Alexander is beginning to exercise his will. Our mellow, complacent, go-along-to-get-along baby is morphing into a (still pretty mellow) toddler. Along with his big laughs and smiles we are now getting some guttural growls and seriously loud protestation! His walking is getting better every day and he is transferring between pieces of furniture to get around. The kid is quite a character.

I hear him waking up and the broccoli in the steamer needs to come out. Enjoy the new movie.
